On Age

Posted by Nick O'Neill on June 18th, 2007

There is a meme going round blogosphere discussing the Age Question. The discussion seems to be centered around the concept that it is more challenging to be an entrepreneur the older you get. Michael Parekh is wondering why none of these 20-somethings that are part of the Facebook generation are commenting on the subject. I’d [...]

Two days ago a co-worker came to me and asked me for advice on how to use Facebook as a recruiting tool. While he had already begun utilizing it, he wanted some advice on ways to more efficiently search through people. In the course of discussion he asked me how to recruit more people like [...]

In terms of revenue generation, this is an easy question to answer. Listpic Gets Banned

Posted by Nick O'Neill on June 8th, 2007

Listpic, the site I covered back in January was banned yesterday from accessing Craigstlist feeds. Listpic enabled users to browse through Craigslist by pictures rather than text. It was highly popular and yesterday Craigslist pulled the plug. There is now a forum for users to complain about Craigslist’s decision. Craig Newmark, the founder of Craigslist, [...]

The More Niche, The Better

Posted by Nick O'Neill on June 5th, 2007

We hear it all the time: if you create a business, make sure you pick a good niche. While I typically heed such advice, I occasionally go astray. This blog is one example of going astray. While I may write interesting content, I hop from covering issues about blogging, to issues about social media, entrepreneurship, [...]
