I got back last evening from my week of skiing in Canada. While it was a great break, it is time to get back to work. I will try to write a post or two everyday for the foreseeable future. I am also working on some side projects that I hope to promote on here soon. Thanks for checking up on my blog.

Also, as a follow-up to my previous post on Google’s TIPS not actually being removed, I apparently misunderstood what TIPS were. TIPS were the ads that were posting on the right hand side of the site. Now, when you search blog, calendar, or anything else related to one of their own products, the ad shows up at the top. My friend who works for Google said that this effectively reduces their net profit because they need to pay for these advertising placements. I’m not quite sure how this reduces their net profit (since their revenue is increased from purchasing advertising on their own site), but apparently it does.
