IPhone Tops Alexa
While checking out the Alexa homepage today, I noticed something interesting. All the top movers and shakers were related to Apple’s new IPhone. The amount of free web marketing that Apple has received from their IPhone debut is pretty darn impressive.
I don’t know about you but I have considered purchasing the IPhone myself. I’m sure that a few other people are seriously considering purchasing the IPhone, and this has been reflected in Apple’s current stock price.
Recently I have started to question the value of the IPhone at a price of $499 (or $599 if you want the 8 GB version). I already have an IPod and a digital camera. When I go to the gym, there is no way that I’m going to use my cell phone instead of my nano as my MP3 player. Also, the only time that I would watch a video on my phone would be traveling to work (if I had to travel far), and on an airplane. In the case of a plane, there is no way that the phone battery is going to hold up for long enough to function as a video player and as a phone when I get off the plane. I think the IPhone is a step in the right direction, and a lot of people will end up purchasing it. I’m probably going to hold off on buying the phone for the foreseeable future (especially since the phone doesn’t come out until June anyways).
